MapleStory Spearman Build

This build is an average spearman build. I didn't include the stat build because you can see it on my fighter / page guide.

This build will only list the skills. If you need the stat builds, please visit my fighter / page guide. Thanks, and enjoy!

Introduction

So, you want to be a spearman eh? Well, after all that work from level 1 ~ 30, I think you deserve to be one of the strongest classes in the game. Yes, that’s true : Dragon knights are one of the strongest classes in the game! With skills like dragon fury, dragon blood, and dragon roar, you are taking control of the strongest animal in the world! Not only that, but you can temporarily increase your hp and mp! The only down side is that you need A LOT of funding since the spears and pole arms, aren’t really cheap. Sure, you can buy everything in the Perion store, and El Nath store, but that only lasts up to level 40. You’ll have to buy from other characters to get your level 45 + Armour and spear / pole arm.

Skill Build

It is important to max a skill according to your spearman type. For example : If you’re a party spearman, you need to max hyper body as soon as possible. If you are a solo spearman, you need to max pole arm / spear mastery as soon as possible. So for an average spearman, this is the order of skills you should max:

Mastery > Hyper Body > Booster > Iron Will > Final Attack

Final attack isn’t important because its only just another attack. You can use power strike to do more damage and use booster to do it faster too. Hyper body is a number 1 priority because spearman don’t have a lot of defense, and level very quickly with a cleric / priest. You can kill and use hyper body while a cleric heals you. Clerics LOVE hyper body. That’s why a lot of people team up with you. They are the most wanted warriors in Ludibrium Party Quest .

Chief Bandit routine at Vikings

I was surprised that some higher level CBs still train at maps other than , where pot usage is much higher because the lack of sniper spots where you can hit your target without being hit. Viking map is a perfect place for a CB to solo as soon as they have at least 1 MG and 1-3 in meso explosion, 18 thieves and at least 10-20 in assaulter. With dockzz build that should be around level ~85.

So I decided to make this map to show my routine soloing vikings as a CB, in the tradition of UVERworld, my ex-guild leader, who did something like that for ranged char parties at vikings.

I know that a lot of CB already know this routine but I hope it will help future CBs to break away from expensive training spots like dual pirates or save them the boredom of training at zombies beyond level 85. If you have any questions, comments, doubts etc. post them here and I'll try to answer them as good as I can.

Thing you should consider:

  • It will cost you up to 1 mill of pots, MG costs, dropping mesos etc. to gain ~20-30% for level 85-90 depending on how cautious you are.
  • You can gain around 10-15% minimum per hour there, starting at level 85 up to early 9x.
  • Never ever take down your meso guard. Recast it before every major action in that map.
  • Buy some ice cream pops for emergencies, just in case you let down your meso guard because you wont heal fast enough with unagis alone. Using supreme hot dogs instead of unagis can save you some money. The damage taken with MG on is ~800, so you won't waste 200 healed HP with unagis when using hot dogs after a hit.
  • Buy some dexterity pills. You will need all additional avoid you can get while herding mobs of vikings because thats the only time, when vikings can hit you hard and multiple times.
  • Don't even try taking one map all for yourself and "CC PLZ" other people training there if you are training alone. This map is huge, suitable for a full party. Partying or sharing this map with around 2-3 people speeds up respawn a lot speeding up training for you.

Have fun and good luck getting some nice drops from those baddies.

How to drop mesos fast:

1) Open your inventory menu

2) Click on the coin icon to open the input meso menu

3) Drag the OK buttom of your input meso menu over the coin icon of your inventory menu.

4) Always input the maximum input lenght, e.g for 1000 mesos input 0000001000 and copy & paste it

5) CTRL+V -> Click -> CTRL+V -> Click ... to drop bags of mesos without moving your mouse

How to read the map:

A - spot where you can snipe vikings with assaulter

T - spot where you can kill a mob with thieves

ME - spot where you can herd mobs of vikings and OHKO them with 10 x 1000 / 14 x 700 / etc. (depending on your level of ME) bags of mesos with meso explosion

SB - spot where you can snipe vikings with savage blow

All plattforms have a number that I will refer to. Plattforms that are not very suitable for bandits will have a [bad] notice. Partying or sharing this map with chars that can clear those spots for you will save you a lot of money and speed up training.

Plattform 1:

If there are at least 4 vikings, herd them to either the right or left and mob them with thieves. Single vikings can be taken out using assaulter after luring them down to the plattform.

Plattform 2 [bad]:

If you are alone, wait until there are at least 4 vikings, herd them and then take them out using ME.

Plattform 3:

Wait for at least a mob of 4-6 vikings, herd them and take them out with ME. If you are really cheap and want to save pots and MG costs use the assaulter spot to the right, jump and assaulter to land on the red middle plattform. Use the rope and thieves to keep viking mobs on 3 to the right side where you can snipe them with assaulter.

Plattform 4:

Lure vikings down to the plattform and take them out using assaulter. Mobs of 4 or more vikings can be lured to the right side and then mob them with thieves.

Plattform 5:

Wait for at least a mob of 4 vikings, herd them and take them out with ME. Kill single vikings with assaulter using those two green steps.

Plattform 6:

Lure single vikings to the left plattform, stand where they stop shooting at you and take them out with SB. Herd 4 or more vikings to the same spot and mob them with thieves.

Plattform 7:

Lure vikings down to the plattform to the right and take them out using assaulter.

Plattform 8:

Lure them to the left, stand on the 2nd block from the top where they cant hit you and take vikings out using savage blow. Here is a screenshot to show you what to do if you have trouble getting on that spot.

1) Jump on that red block on the right

2) Then walk down to the left side to land on your sniper spot

Plattform 9 [bad]:

Herd at least 4 vikings and take them out with ME.

Bottom:

Herd all vikings using thieves and assaulter while moving to the left side. Take out up to 6 vikings with ME. If there are more than 6 of them, move from rope to rope, herding them and take them out with ME.

Some notice about how to hand those [bad] 2 and 6 plattforms

The best way to clear them is to go into darksight and move into position to drop mesos. Drop your meso bags, then cancel darksight (don't forget to recast haste if you don't have max darksight), jump down and start using thieves to herd them while moving to the left and get back on the red middle plattform. Wait for them to gather below you and then jump back down to the right and get back into position where you dropped your meso bags. Wait for them to return to your meso pile and then jump down to blow them up. It may take a bit longer but usually you get only hit 2-3 times.

Its easier than dropping mesos, jumping down to herd them and then try to get into position right away while they are pissed and all around you

Maple Training Guide

Level 35-51

It's time to Ludibrium PQ (LPQ).

Your party needs to include a Magician with Teleport, a Bandit or Assassin with Dark Sight, and an Assassin with maxed Keen Eyes or a Crossbowman with maxed Eye of the Amazon. A Cleric is highly recommended. All-Cure potions are also highly recommended, as the battle with Alishar will occasionally leave your skills locked or your character being inflicted with the darkness effect.

To be a leader you need an empty channel (a channel that is not full with a party already doing the party quest) or track. A track is where you write into your text bar /find username. This will allow you to track the stage of the party inside doing the PQ and will be ready to click to get in when they're at the last stage. maple story mesos

Stage 1:

Whatever you do, don't click on to Sgt. Anderson. He brings you out and there are no questions to answer for how many passes you need like in KPQ. Just kill all the rats and give the passes to the leader to clear. maple story mesos

Once cleared only 1 person who said they'll go into the next stage first goes in, if that's not you, don't go until he says clear. (Pic below)

Stage 2:

Hit the blue boxes and collect the passes. Do not leave passes if not they'll disappear. Give the passes to the leader. (Pic below)

Stage 3:

Kill the Bloctopus and collect the passes, give them to the leader. maple story mesos

(Pic below)

Stage 4:

If you're a mage, go to one of the top portals, if you're anything else you go to the bottom 2 portals that you can go into. One of those portals has 2 monsters in them. Be sure to mark your portal before you enter. Don't enter marked portals unless they need help and don't forget to mark. (Pic below)

Stage 5:

Go into a portal and hit the blue boxes for the passes. Collect them and give them to the leader. Everyone has to do 1 portal. If you're a Mage you can do the very top portal and if you're a thief, you can do the portal under the Golems. Never jump into the Golems without Dark Sight. They'll kill you instantly. Mark before you go into a portal. You need not mark for the thief portal. Everyone will be racing for mage and thief because they are the easiest. (Pic belowt)

Stage 6:

Go up the pink blocks this is the combo you step on to the pink blocks and press up: 133 221 333 123 111. (Pic below)

Stage 7:

An Assassin or Bowman will attack the rat on top to release the Rombards. The rest will kill them and give the passes to leader. (Pic below)

Stage 8:

Get onto the boxes and if you don't know how to do it, go on 1 or tell your party. You do the same method to try to get every combo the combos are:

Remember to slide trough boxes and not just jump on to the box because it's impossible.(Pic below)

Crack on the Wall: First an Assassin or Bowman attacks the rat and then Alishar is summoned. Kill it then give the keys to the leader. Then choose the brush or bonus.

Brush is when you go into bonus and someone leaves/gets expelled and then he rejoins the party so you can skip bonus while clearing Determine to Adventure but you'll only get back into PQ - 80% of the time. Bonus is you do bonus and after 50 seconds you come out and try to go back into PQ, remember people can get into it while you're doing bonus in that 50 seconds unlike KPQ so it's only 30% chance but bonus gets you good equips. (Pic below)

Bonus: Attack the boxes for stuff. (Pic below)

Determine to Adventure:

Go up and take to Arturo, make sure you have at least 1 space in every category in your inventory. (Pic below)

Rewards of PQ and things you can get in Bonus.

MapleStory Fighter Starter Guide

In order to get a good starting fighter, you need to roll 4 intelligence and 4 luck. Strength and Dexterity can be anything, if you are lazy, put never let intelligence be any higher then 4, it is a waste to fighters. buy maple story mesos

Many Questions asked by noobs (not that you are one):

Q. Why is strength and dexterity so important while intelligence and luck isn't?

A 3 simple things:

  1. Strength: Power of attacks
  2. Dexterity: Higher it is, more armors you can use, more chance of hits, and more chances of dodging attacks.
  3. Luck: although it gives you a higher chance for a drop, you will kill so much that you would have a higher chance.

Q What does AP stand for? buy maple story mesos

A AP stands for "ability point". Ability points are points that you put on certain stats, which include STR, DEX, INT, LUK, HP, and MP. You get 5 ability points every time you level up

Q What is SP? buy maple story mesos

A SP stands for "skill points". Skill points are points that you put on certain skills to activate or upgrade them. As a thief, you receive your first skill point at level 10 when you become a warrior and every level after 10 you receive 3 skill points.

Things needed to become a fighter:

  • Level: 10
  • Strength: 25

MapleStory Fighter/Page Build

This build is only affective if you followed the Dexterity = 2x your level and everything else on strength rule.

Ability Point Distribution

From level 30 - 35, put all the ability points towards strength. This is because at level 35, the "Dark Briggon" is a reward for "John"s present' Level 30 quest, and requires 125 strength to use. This is a good upgrade from the venon glove at level 20 (ugh). safe maple story powerleveling

Level 35 - 40, Make sure you have at least 130 strength at level 40 so you can use jangoon armor. Everything else on dexterity.

Level 40 - 50 By now, your dexterity should be 80. That should be pretty high so you can put everything on strength. You need it to use the shoulder mail at level 50.

Level 50 - 60 At level 60, you should have 210 strength and everything else on dexterity. You'll need the strength for the orientican/oriental items. safe maple story powerleveling

Level 60 - 70 By this point, stop adding dexterity, as your accuracy will be about 100 if you maxed mastery. So just focus on getting your strength to 240 first. You can spend the rest of the ability points on health points if you want as you should have about 3000 hp.

Skill Point Distribution

This is my order of skill point mastery:

Mastery > Final Attack > Threaten / Rage > Booster > Power Guard. safe maple story powerleveling

You can clean up some of your basic skills when you are done threaten / rage. Of course, this is optional.

MapleStory Mage Guide

Why a Mage?

Some of you new players might be asking yourself “why should I choose a mage.” I have made a list of pros and cons of a mage to help you decide. maplestory powerleveling

Pros:

  • Very good damage at low levels.
  • Easy to use.
  • Fast training for the lower levels (in certain paths).
  • Can travel fast once teleport is maxed. (2nd job skill)
  • Have very high MP.
  • Can attack from long and short range.
  • Always wanted in pqs.
  • Can buff and heal people which makes them well liked among maplers.

Cons:

  • Have very low HP.

  • At level 30+ equips in the stores are very expensive. maplestory powerleveling

  • Waste MP pots fast.
  • Sometimes accidentally ks people which leads to bad things.
  • Lack of attack skills.
  • Expensive

2) Beginners Stats

If you are still reading this you probably decided to stick with a mage. First off, MapleStory character's success DEPENDS ON THEIR STATS. If you were to mess up with your stats THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX IT. I have messed up quite a few but have finally discovered one of the perfect mage builds. When you create a new character you will get randomized stats. You can change them by clicking on the dice.

An ideal beginner mage should have these stats:

  • STR: 4
  • DEX: 4
  • INT: X
  • LUK: X

The reason INT (Intelligence) and LUK (Luck) are X are because it doesn't matter what they are here. STR and DEX(Strength and Dexterity) should be at 4 so INT and LUK can be as high as possible. As you level you will NOT put any points into STR and DEX or HP and MP.

For every level after this you will want to keep your LUK 3 points higher then your level and all else in INT. This will allow you to use most Mage Equips later on. To become a Mage you will need to be level 8 and have 20 INT. maplestory powerleveling

Starting Off

When you first start the game you will be sent through a tutorial explaining the game controls. After that you will end up on Maple Island! Here I suggest training on snails for 3-4 lvls then moving up to the Mushrooms. You should stay here until you are level 8 then head off to Victoria Island.

Note: Try to do as many quests as possible here.

Becoming a Mage

Congratulations, you have reached the point in which you can pass from a beginner to a mage! Make sure you have at least 20 INT and are level 8 before going on. To make the advancement you will need to travel to Elinna and talk to Grendel the really Old who is located at the highest point in the trees. Once you talk to him you will have successfully become a Mage!

Skill Points for the 1st Job

If you are new to MapleStory I suggest you follow this guide:

Training grounds for the 1st Job

LVL 8-13

At this point I would suggest Henesys Hunting Grounds. It is perfect for the starting out mage. I would stay with snails for a lvl or 2 then move up floors to slimes.

LVL 13-18

Here I would suggest you move to Orange Mushrooms which can be found higher up in Henesys Hunting grounds.

LVL 18-21

Here I suggest either moving to Elinna for Horny Mushrooms or to Perion where you can find Axe Stumps. Both are good EXP for this lvl.

LVL 21-26

Here you have a choice of how to train. One way is which you go and train in Ant Tunnel or go PQ. Ant Tunnel is effective but you will need to have a lot of health and mana potions. PQ gives major EXP and can make you rich, but almost all Channels will have been filled with a team so you will have to wait for quiet a while.

LVL 26-30

Here I suggest just PQ. At this point they will give you the EXP you need and you will be excepted easily.

2nd Job: What to Choose?

Here come one of the toughest decisions in the game. The 2nd advancement. For a mage there are three choices. There is the Fire Poison mage, the Ice Lightning mage, and there's the Cleric.

The Fire Poison mage is great for dealing out damage and later has one of the best AOE attacks in the game. Fire Poison will not be invited into partys as much as other so this is more if you like to solo.

The Ice Lighting mage has an AOE attack so you will be invited into partys more. This AOE attack isn't as strong as the Fire Poisons but you will have time to raise it. Ice Lightings ice moves will freeze the enemy for a little while and is always fun to play.

The Cleric is the party class. They have many buffs and healing moves so they are welcomed into all partys. It is harder to lvl up without a party because they have almost zero attack skills.

I hope this guide has helped you get yourself on the way to being a great player.
